I've been here for a month! Wowwwwwyyy. In some ways it seems like that's not true but in other ways it feels like I've been here forever. It's weird I don't know how to explain it. Anyway, I realized that I haven't put hardly any picture up here at all. So, here are some pics... they are all mixed up but I will try to explain them. So yeah, here they are.

God's voice is real and He wants to speak to you

Today John Bills spoke to us in class.
I only put in a little bit. If I feel like I need to write more I will but as for now this is all I'm putting

John 10:3,4,5,27

3 The watchman opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.

4 When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice.

earthquake

The Lord is my rock that does not move. When the earthquake happened I was eating breakfast with the rest of the weekend kitchen dudy crew. All I remember is a loud rushing sound and then the earth began to shake. I have never experienced anything so scary. I remember thinking... where can I go that will be safe?... I had no idea. Then I looked at my classroom and I saw it shaking so hard I thought it would fall. I grabbed the table infront of me and began calling out to God so hard. I just yelled Jesus over and over. And after a min. it stopped. It was so scary. Thank God no one was hurt. I think it taught some of us a good lesson.The only thing that is unshakable is God. We are safe when we stand on Him. He will not shake or leave us alone. The safest place to be is in Gods will. I know that God want me here. I will not fear or worry!

Excitment

Today is amazing! I have a ton of free time. I'm working on the weekends so when everyone else is working I have some free time. So I can't even begin to express what an amazing day it's been. Haha I missed lunch so it still feels like morning to me. So I've been here for a week and I feel like I have been here for months. I feel changed already.

The day I got here I felt a strange excitment. No usually I'm the girl who sits back and checks everything out first before jumping into the swing of things. I don't know how else to describe it. But I didn't do it this time. I had an exitment about meeting people. I was thrilled to experience the culture here. My excitement was so overflowing that i couldn't stop saying how excited I was. My new friends quickly picked up on that and they joked about me being so excited ALL THE TIME. Haha seriously ya'll I can't stop saying it!

The next thing I felt God telling me was not to worry about making friends.I sort of felt stressed at the begining because so many people wanted to do so many different things and I wasn't sure where I belonged. But now I know I belong in His presents! He began to tell me not to worry about it and that He would bring me the right people. TRUST TRUST TRUST.. It's huge!Trust Him in everything. It's all about surrendering your own rights!

So the 3rd thing I've learned is joy. Haha I feel like I can't wipe the smile off my face. Along with excitment there is a joy! Nehemiah 8:10 says "Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength." So you see with joy there is great strength. Because belive me ya'll, if I just use my own strength to be joyful I would last maybe half a day! So I need His strength every morning every day!

So I encourage you today to be excited! He gave you this day and you have the opportunity to be with Him all day long. Trust him. I'm serious, if you go all out and give up everything for God, He will show up! Today a girl spoke about how "Jealous" God is for you. He longs to have all of your attention and to have your heart and mind. He wants to be your best friend! He wants you every day every hour you know 24/7! YOU ARE SPECIAL TO HIM!

So to wrap things up. I love it here. There is en excitment and joy here. I love the people here we have been called to reach the nations! We are so excited! Oh I could go on and on but I think I'm going to take a nap.

Saturday in Hawaii

So today was great! This morning I went to Walmart and got a pillow. I'm enjoying that right now! And I got a ton of other things. It was fabulous! Then we went to the beach. That was crazy. I took my camera and I didn't want to leave it so I didn't swim. Plus the water was crazy. The waves were huge! So then I ate and all but then we had an amazing worship service. It was wonderful! I can't even express how excited I am. I felt like God told me not to worry or stress over trying to make friends. He said not to worry but to focus on Him and that He would bring the right people. have met a ton of really cool people but I still felt like I was focusing too much on trying to make more and also focusing on them more than God. And that wass not good. So I'm really excited about turning my focus point. God is amazing. He is worthy of all our praise. He does so much. He longs so much for us. He cares for each and every one of us! How can you not get excited about that! Haha so after worship I went with a bunch of my friends to get some ice cream in town (it's like a 2 min walk!) It was fabulous! I had a ton of fun. I serioulsy couldn't stop smiling I was so happy! Anyway tomorrow I'm going to try out a church so that should be fun. Well, I'm going to bed so I will chat with ya'll later.
